Bathing babies and small children in a standard bath can be difficult and uncomfortable for any carer. As children get bigger and need lifting in and out, the twisting and bending involved can pose a risk of back injury to the carer. The portable Surfer Bather is a lifting aid to minimise moving and handling risks to therapists/parents/carers. It can be raised and lowered into the bath by using the corded remote control, or by the controls on the Airflo battery compressor which allows the child to lie at the bottom of the bath. Based on the seat section of the Surfer Bather above, the Sub Bathing Aid is a portable, lightweight piece of equipment that allows the child to lay vertically in the bath. Like the Surfer Bather, it has an adjustable backrest, harness and head support, but it does not elevate. Ideal option for those who already have a hoist, but require a supportive seat to allow the child to bathe safely at the bottom of the bath. Alternatively, the Sub can be used as a supportive seat anywhere around the home where the suckers can be fixed securely. Suitable for a child up to 50kg (7 ½st) and 1350mm (4ft 5") in height.
